Arrival & Dismissal Procedures The safety of our students, teachers, staff, and parents is always our highest priority. With busy morning arrival and afternoon dismissal times, it is especially important that everyone follows the established procedures consistently. Even a small shortcut can create an unsafe situation for a child, staff member, or another family.

Please take a few minutes to carefully read both the Arrival Procedures and Dismissal Pick-Up Options flyers included in this week’s Wednesday Wire. We also ask that you share this information with grandparents, babysitters, family members, or anyone else who may drop off or pick up your child.

These procedures are in place for a reason, and they work best when we all follow them. Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and partnership in helping us keep everyone safe!

SLS Cheer Clinic 2026 registration is open! Our SLS Cheerleaders are hosting a cheer clinic for K-4^th grade girls on October 13 from 2:30-4:30 pm. All participants will spend the afternoon learning cheers, having fun, and getting ready to cheer on our Cardinals at the junior football game vs. St. Dominic October 15. - Registration Deadline - extended to TODAY, September 23
- Register today at slsathletics.org.
- Tryouts, Uniform Fitting, Physical Turn-in for 5-8 Grades – September 27
  - 7th-8th Graders
    - 2:30-3:00 PM - Uniform Fitting, Physical Turn-in
    - 3:00-4:15 PM – Tryouts
  - 5th-6th Graders
    - 4:00-4:3 PM. - Uniforms Fitting, Physical Turn-in
    - 4:30-5:45 PM - Tryouts
  - Media Day – October 18, times TBD
  - Games Start – November 10

The uniform fitting is to make sure that we have the correct sizes before Media Day.

Team practices will start after Fall Break.

9 to 5 Day is THIS FRIDAY! Get ready to work 9 to 5 (or 8 to 3!) for a great cause! Our National Junior Beta Club is sponsoring 9 to 5 Day in honor of Dolly Parton and her commitment to childhood literacy. Students who donate at least $1.00 may wear a pink shirt or a Dolly Parton shirt to school that day. Every dollar collected will benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, helping put books into the hands of young children and encouraging a lifelong love of reading. So, grab your pink, channel a little Dolly, and help our Beta Club make a difference—one book at a time!
