Announcements
- Today is the deadline to complete re-enrollment for the 2024-25 school year. Contract links will expire after today. If you would like to re-enroll your child after today, please contact Paul Walker in the Office of Admissions. A contract link to re-enroll can be sent after today if there is still space available in your child’s class.
- “Thanks” just isn’t enough to convey our gratitude to our Home and School Association for the amazing auction and dinner that they held this past week. “Back to the 90s” was one of the most successful auctions in the history of our school! This event happened only because of the incredible leadership of our President, Tracie Hill, our Vice President, Kim Cimbalo, and our Acquisitions Chair, Meggie Carrier and Sponsorship Chair, Laura Hehn. There are so many more ladies to name that were integral in the success of this event! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
- Volunteers are needed to help with our Grandparents Day (1-8 grades) reception on Friday, February 2. If you are able to assist please sign up at SLS Parents: Grandparents Day Reception (signupgenius.com).
- The annual Men’s Club Mardi Gras Dinner and Parade is this Saturday, February 3, 2024. Don’t miss this popular St. Louis event! Every grade is encouraged to enter a float in the parade. To enter a float, contact Greg Crone at croneg@bellsouth.net. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
- Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM in the teacher’s classroom. The sign-ups for conferences will be sent in next week’s Wednesday Wire. Teachers will contact you if they feel that a conference is necessary.
Reminders
- If you have first and second graders, please drop them off in morning carpool in the lane closest to the school instead of dropping them off in the middle lane and having them cross traffic.
- Junior Tennis League: St. Louis has six boys & girls who have signed up for an indoor middle school tennis league at Leftwich, and we need at least two more student athletes to form the team. Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders who can serve and rally, we need you! This is entry-level competition, so anyone who can hit the ball is welcome to join. Play will be both singles and doubles on Friday evenings, 5:30-7pm, starting January 26 and ending March 1. The fee is $90/player. This is a lot of fun and is a great way to keep those skills sharp in the off-season! Contact SLS tennis coach Steve Denegri (steve@denegri.net or 901-219-4591) for more info or to register.
- Stars901 Lacrosse registration for girls grades 3-6 closes one week from today on Wednesday, January 31. Registration for K-2 Rising Stars League has 28 spots remaining and will cap at 40 players. Registration will close on 3/1/24. Information and registration links available at www.stars901lacrosse.com.
