- Tonight, October 15, is Spirit Night at Chipotle (5865 Poplar Avenue)from 4:00-8:00 PM. Order online using code 3XY6GWF or present the flyer found in Wednesday Wire so St. Louis School gets credit! Come get a delicious meal while supporting St. Louis School!
- School pictures were sent home this week. All families are asked to submit picture orders or return unpurchased pictures to your child’s homeroom teacher by THIS Friday, October 17. DO NOT send in payment. You will be billed for your picture order through FACTS. If no orders or pictures are returned by Friday, we will assume you are keeping the whole package, and we will bill you for Package #1 ($25.00) through FACTS. If your child is having pictures retaken, please turn in the original pictures so you are not charged. Make-up picture day is Wednesday, October 22.
- TOMORROW, Thursday, October 16, is a schoolwide spirit day. K-8 grade students will attend a pep rally at 1:45 PM honoring all 7/8 grade fall athletes. All students may come out of uniform but must wear SLS shirts only (spirit shop, field day, PE, etc.) Seventh and eighth grade athletes are encouraged to wear their sports jerseys. Shirts must be worn under sleeveless or mesh jerseys. There is no cost to participate in this day.
- Our Charleston Wrap Fall Fundraiser began on Monday, October 13 and ends on November 3. Fundraiser packets were sent home this week. Help us reach our fundraising goal!
- Our annual Junior High Coffee Chat is this Friday, October 17 at 8:15 AM in the St. John Paul II Youth Ministry Center for all current St. Louis sixth grade parents and prospective junior high families
- Parent/Teacher Conferences are on October 24. An email from Mrs. Shaw with the SignUpGenius was sent out this morning and will close on Monday, October 20 at noon. If you are unable to schedule a conference because slots are full, please email your child's teacher to schedule a time.
- The Men’s Club Golf Tournament at The Links at Galloway is THIS Sunday, October 19. Limited spots remain. The deadline for signing up is TOMORROW, Thursday, October 16. See the Wednesday Wire for more details.
- Calling All Ghouls and Goblins! Our Home & School is summoning brave souls to host Trick-or-Treat Booths for this year’s Treat Trail! Sign up (if you dare) Treat Trail Sign-Up
- Early Birds (or should we say early bats?) — anyone who signs up by Friday, October 17 will be entered into a fang-tastic raffle prize!
- Best Booth Bonus: The creepiest, kookiest, most spook-tacular booth will win 2 tickets to this year’s School Auction (and other eerie-sistible prizes)!
- So dust off your broomsticks, grab your candy cauldrons, and help make this Treat Trail un-boo-lievably fun!
- We’re on the Hunt for Sweet Treats! Our Home & School Treat Trail needs mountains of candy — and we’re counting on you to help fill our cauldrons! Drop off your candy donations in the school office by October 25.
Make sure to label your bag with your child’s homeroom teacher’s name so their class gets credit! The class that donates the most candy will win a pizza party—talk about a sweet victory! As of today, 7C (Mrs. Scherson’s class) is crushing it and leading the pack! Can your class trick them out of first place?
- Are you on our Cardinal Cares distribution list? Cardinal Cares is an email list that informs SLS families when we have a family in need of prayers, support, meals, assistance, etc. To be added to this distribution list, please contact Paige Marcantel at paigewilson30@hotmail.com or 901.240.7353.

- First, the Share the Love 5K and family fun run/walk will be on Sunday, November 9. This fundraising event is held in memory of Collins Leach, who sadly died during her kindergarten year here at SLS and was a classmate of our current 6th This is a great family friendly event with a moon bounce, face painting, the 901 goats and it raises money for the Center for Good Grief, our local grief center that provides free grief counseling to our area. It is a great event for a great cause! Our team is called - St. Louis School Friends of Collins. - Next, we have the Breakthrough for T1D Walk on October 25that 9:00 AM. This walk raises funds for research for Type 1 diabetes and is in support of three of our SLS students, Mack Sellers, James Nash, and Fitz Wright. Reminders
- Calling All Volunteers! We are so thankful for your time and support at St. Louis School! To volunteer with our school children, all adults must complete the online VIRTUS training at virtusonline.org. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our children safe and supported.
- Rosa Tutor is hosting a Coping Skills Café, a 3 sessions small group for 1-4 grade students who need coping skills practice. Sessions begin today, October 15, and continue on October 28 and 30. See Wednesday Wire for more details.
- Ballet classes are back! See Wednesday Wire for details on our new Discover Ballet Classes, taught by Mrs. Jessica Heinz. Classes will be on Wednesdays from 3:00-4:00 PM and begin TODAY, October 15.
